Three output choices, different purposes

  • File: prepare a RIP file for the selected board and printhead profile, then use the appropriate printer workflow.
  • TCP port: send file output to a configured TCP receiver. This is separate from the complete Direct Print job lifecycle.
  • Direct Print to Hoson printer: NXRIP connects directly and manages the ordinary print job, without handing the job to PrintExp.

Hoson Direct Print

Direct Print brings the job and printer controls into NXRIP. NXRIP handles the raster, pass planning, feed and selected feathering, with speed and print-direction controls in the same workflow.

  • Speed: Low, Middle and High settings.
  • Direction: left, right or bidirectional printing.
  • Feathering: Strong A and MixFog, with intensity and range controls for pass overlap.

For large solid fills, use a familiar test design to evaluate speed and feathering on your own printer. Ink, materials, profiles, alignment and nozzle condition also affect the finished result.

Compatibility is configuration-specific. The controller’s live configuration, firmware family and head layout must match a supported route. A matching printhead name alone is not enough. Direct Print here is the Hoson network path; BYHX, Senyang and WellPrint profiles below are file-output profiles. USB Direct Print is not offered.

Current routes include supported configurations in the 5.7.6.5, 5.8.1.1 and 5.8.1.3 families. A limited 5.8.2.1 route exists for the specific 00F4 / I3200_8C+2W configuration; its physical ordinary-print validation is still pending. This does not establish support for every configuration in those families.

If your exact setup has not been confirmed, ask for configuration-specific setup guidance before sending a job. Include your operating system, controller, firmware, printhead and head layout.

Available file-output presets

These are the selectable board/head presets from NXRIP’s current Printer Settings. All listed presets use 2-bit output. They describe software profiles, not physical certification of every printer sold under each name.

Before you send the first print

Confirm the controller and profile, configure the output path, check the nozzles and alignment, then approve a small test using your actual ink, film, powder and curing workflow. Keep the original files and your working configuration available during evaluation.

This page reflects the profile tables checked against Windows build 1264 and macOS build 1265. Updates may add or change presets; the options shown in your installed build remain the immediate reference.
