01 / COLOR KNOCKOUT + HALFTONE

Remove the black background, then apply halftoning. NXRIP prepares the smoke and semi-transparent edges for DTF printing. Explore each step on the same design.

AI upscaling makes it larger and sharper, so you can get a good print even from a small file. Open the image in NXRIP and turn on upscaling.
Remove the background in one step. NXRIP keeps the artwork, ready to add to your print sheet. An optional AI package for complex backgrounds is available on Windows.

Import whole folders, ZIP archives and multipage PDFs. Turn on quantities from filenames to skip entering them by hand. A Hot Folder automatically picks up new files from the folder you choose.
PRINTER COMPATIBILITY
Will it work with your printer?
Print directly from NXRIP on Hoson. For other controllers, choose a ready-made profile and save a print file.
Yes. During public testing, you can get a free temporary license for one computer. It is valid within the testing program. For questions about future paid licenses, email info@nxrip.com.
Do I have to give up my current RIP?
Start with one order. Prepare the images, build a sheet and make a test print. Compare how the work feels, then move more jobs to NXRIP when you’re ready.
Will my printer work?
Hoson printers use Direct Print: connect over the network and control printing from NXRIP. Ready-made file-output profiles are available for BYHX, Senyang and WellPrint. The compatibility guide explains how to connect and choose a profile.
What color controls does NXRIP offer?
Load ready-made IncTech or InkBank settings, or use an ICC profile for your ink and film. NXRIP converts RGB or CMYK artwork for printing. Four rendering intents and black point compensation give you control over color, shadows and saturation.
Can I adjust the white underbase for my design?
Yes. Generate the underbase automatically, build it from image transparency or use an existing white layer in the file. Adjust the density of generated white and the edge treatment to remove white fringes.
